It's a great place for families, especially if you're in to historical items, antiques and so on. Be aware that it's a pretty lengthy walk and there are some steep hills to navigate (all are paved, however) so if you use a wheelchair or are otherwise disabled you'll probably need assistance. They do have plenty of benches and a few water/soda machines so you'll be able to rest and have a drink. All in all it was very enjoyable and I had a lot of fun going back in time seeing all the neat displays.

It's set up like an old frontier town with log cabins and so forth. You come in, park and then take the tour using a free map they provide. There is a minimal entry fee ($3.50 for adults, $2.50 for seniors 62+ and free for children under 14); they also take donations apparently.

The buildings are numbered and there's a yellow arrow marker on the paved roads leading you on the tour. Each building is dedicated to different eras and different types of antiques. There's displays for clothes, furniture, pipes, musical instruments... you name it! They even had a huge collection of antique (and modern) barbed wire. It's incredible how many antiques they have at this place.

Har-Ber Village Museum is an outdoor walking museum depicting the homes, and life styles of the American people over the last two centuries.

This place is a little gem that is a bit out of the ordinary and a little hard to find but once you do find it you'll spend the day having fun. It's a museum dedicated to antique clothing, guns, lamps, medical equipment, trains and everything in between. The museum itself is located near Grove, Oklahoma nestled between beautiful hills and Grand Lake. It's very quiet and peaceful and I don't think too busy so you'll be able to walk at your leisure and take it in without too many people in your way.

i have been going to Har-Ber Village for 30 years that I remember and I was very dissappointed with our last visit. They only have about 1/3 of the doll collection on display, only 1/4 of the furnature and numerous other things missing that I remember from childhood. it really makes me wonder where all the DONATED items that were there for 30 yrs have gone. The grounds were also in terrible shape the statue of Christ in front of the Church has always had a well manicured flower bed around it and i would bet those flowers had never been trimmed( wildflowers not red roses as Mrs Jones always had) there were displays in disrepair. Im sure Mr.&Mrs. Jones would be upset to see the fruit of thier labor in such shape. As far as Im concerned Har-Ber Village died with its great creators. A very sad loss for the whole community, state and country. History lessons grow less and less important.........................
