Great Library! Excellent selection of books. Plenty of computers for patrons. Very friendly and pleasant staff. It should be noted though that the fatality rate at this library is well above the national average. :(
Came here to do some school once and was denied help with the computer issues to the point it cost me some very bad grades. When the computer cuts out in the middle of a test you get an F no if's and's or but's. With no help from the staff Had to explain multiple times to the teachers that I had no access to wifi, as they seemed to never know why their wifi wasn't working so when I tried to use their computers I flunked three tests in a row because it kept shutting off at random. I tried different computers, tried asking for help, nothing. When i asked about the wifi the woman at the counter seemed hateful. Since there was never anything else productive i could possibly do I browsed books and movies which seemed to have some sort of spiral confusing order in the young adult section, no organization to the children's movies, and was so infuriated by the treatment that I called the company. Nothing has been done to fix their faulty computers, spotty wifi, and hateful staff. I'd rather drive an extra ten minutes to Jay or Miami library than spend my time here. A woman I know brought her granddaughter here as well, she said her granddaughter nearly left in tears because a woman shouted at her to climbing around on the kids area, while her grandmother was already getting her off the boat thing. So instead of reading a children's book or picking up a movie as they intended they left in a hurry. VERY HATEFUL PEOPLE
Great place, but the manager and about 1/3 regular staff come off as snooty, authoritarian, unfriendly, and sometimes downright rude. At the same time, some staff members are wonderful, the library is clean, and the manager plans elaborate and fun, family-friendly activities... so definitely a paradox. For this reason, I recommend their activities, but the library is okay.
